1,000 Fan Contest

We are amazed at how fast our Facebook Fanpage is growing and we love how active our fans are.  We ask for a lot a feedback from our Facebook fans, and we listen when you speak.  We have allowed you to pick new flavors, Punkin Spice was voted on our menu by Facebook Fans way back in 2010!  We got the names for a couple of our cupcakes from our fans, Cherry Meltdown and Night and Day would have no identity without Facebook.  Based on Feedback, we made sure The Sweet Tooth was open on Sundays.  Our fans are very important to us, when you speak… we listen.  We appreciate each and every one of our fans, and want to give a little back. 

We are happy to announce our latest contest, and this time we went big!  We will have 10 winners and the Grand Prize Winner will receive a gift certificate for 1 dozen cupcakes and a $100 Visa Gift Card!  Get your cameras ready, we will ask you to post pictures on our Fanpage wall to enter.  There will be three different assignments each assignment you complete will earn you an entry to the contest.  You can earn only one entry per assignment.  We will announce assignments every couple of days beginning tomorrow (Tuesday 2/21).  We will make announcements via our newsletter.  If you are not signed up for our newsletter, click here and fill out the form (make sure the sign me up box is checked).

Weekly Round Up – February 18, 2012

We have been very busy over the past couple of weeks at The Sweet Tooth, promoting happiness is a round the clock task.  We have been growing, taking feedback from customers and making improvements whenever we can.  We have added some tables and chairs allowing our customers to sit down and enjoy their cupcakes before hitting the road.  We saw you sitting in your cars eating your cupcakes, so we took this step to hopefully make your experience that much more enjoyable.  We had our sign installed on the building, and have already had customers stopping because they saw the sign.  We have a prime location available for our sign, it sits above all the other signs in our plaza, and we had this in mind when we picked this space.  We also had a very busy and successful Valentine’s Day.  We had a lot of customers and made a lot of cupcakes, all in all it was an amazing day!

1,000 Facebook Fans

We recently achieved a major milestone in social media. We surpassed the 1,000 fan mark and we appreciate each and every one of you.  We were watching closely after we made it to 999.  Next time we looked we were at 1,003, it all happened too fast.  As always we have some great prizes to give away in a fun contest!  The grand prize will be a $100 Visa gift card!  We will have cupcake sweatshirts and t-shirts to give away, as well as gift certificates for cupcakes!  We will blog more about the contest in a couple days, stay tuned to find out how to enter!

Weekly Round Up – February 3, 2012

Can you believe January is already over?  Can you believe how warm and amazing the weather has been here in Kansas City?  Can you believe it has almost been a month since The Sweet Tooth opened?  Can you believe how quickly we reached 900 fans on our Facebook Fanpage?  We are amazed by all of the support we have been getting.  Keep sending the love and we will keep making these delicious cupcakes (and now cookies)!  This post is packed with some great information and discounts, share it with a friend and post it. 

C is for Cookie

Do you remember the song Cookie Monster sang? “C is for cookie, that’s good enough for me!”  Well at The Sweet Tooth, C is for a lot of things, like Cupcakes, Coffee and now… Cookies!  On Friday, February 3 we will launch our cookie line that includes 6 different flavors.  The cookies are pretty big, about 5 inches, just like our cupcakes they are made from scratch, and we bake them fresh daily!  The flavors are Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter, Oatmeal Raisin, Sugar Cookie (plain and frosted) White Chocolate Chip & Monster Cookie,  If you are wondering, what’s a monster cookie… it’s a cookie that has just about everything in it!  It’s like Amy took the leftovers from all the other cookie batters and mixed them up.  It has peanut butter, M&Ms, even oatmeal, it’s a cookie you have to try!  We have a great special going all weekend long buy one cookie, get one free!  This offer is good Friday the 3^rd, Saturday the 4^th and Sunday February 5^th with a limit of 24 total cookies per customer. Our cookies are only $1 each!

Four Square Special

Do you have a smart phone?  Have you in installed the app FourSquare on your phone?  It’s a great app that shows you amazing businesses around your current location, check for trends and could even earn you discounts and free items!  The Sweet Tooth is offering a special Friday February 3 when you check in to our store on FourSquare.  Show us your check in when you are checking out, and you will receive your cupcakes for only $1.50 each!  This is an amazing offer and is limited to 24 cupcakes per customer.

Valentine’s Day is just days away, and The Sweet Tooth has you covered.  We are currently offering a variety of some of our most popular cupcakes including delivery on Valentine’s Day.  They come by the dozen and include 3 Life by Chocolate, 3 Vanilla Vanilla, 3 Rouge and 3 Very Berry we event changed the look of tow of our cupcakes for the occasion!  They are available for delivery in Blue Springs, Lee’s Summit, Independence and Grain Valley.  These packages have been very popular so far and the limited number of delivery slots are filling quickly.  Call us to order your Valentine’s Dozen and make Valentine’s Day sweeter than ever for that special someone. Sweet Conversations

Did you know that we are open on Sundays from noon to 5:00?  Sundays are relaxing, laid back days and a perfect opportunity to get to know the customers (and for you to get to know us).

Yesterday I asked everyone that came in to tell me about the best cupcake they ever ate.  We love hearing about what makes your taste buds happy, even if it’s not a flavor we currently offer. You never know when we will be inspired to try out something new!  So what flavors were you looking for yesterday?  Boston Cream Pie, Wedding Cake, chocolate, chocolate, and chocolate!  You love our Hawaiian Treat, Peanut Butter Dream, or anything topped with cream cheese frosting…at least yesterday’s customers did, tomorrow there may be a new favorite.  There are so many of you looking for a sugar free option and several wishing that there was a gluten free cupcake as well.  Keep your ideas coming, we want to know what our fans are looking for!  Didn’t get a chance to tell us about your dream cupcake yet?  Leave a comment on here or better yet, stop by the store this week and let us know what makes your taste buds happy!

Thank you to everyone that shared their ideas, wishes, and favorites with me yesterday.  I met people who are working their way around the metro testing out cupcakes, and others that just discovered gourmet cupcakes when they found our store for the first time.  Whether you are a first time customer, or the fan that stops by right before closing a few times a week, I enjoyed getting to know you better!

Trying new flavors

Do you have a favorite cupcake flavor?  I’m a chocolate and peanut butter kind of gal.  My love of cupcakes has sent me to many bakeries around town and without thinking I always request the chocolate peanut butter flavor to be the first one put in my box.  The first time I tried a Peanut Butter Dream cupcake from The Sweet Tooth I couldn’t stop talking about it.  I had finally found someone who understood the important relationship between peanut butter and chocolate!  There are peanut butter chips mixed into the chocolate cake so you get both flavors in every bite.  This is the cupcake I had been dreaming about!!

I have a hard time pulling myself away from that dreamy cupcake, but lucky for me I work at The Sweet Tooth now so there are more opportunities to expand my horizons when it comes to cupcake flavors.  This weekend I stepped way, way outside my cupcake comfort zone and had the Very Berry flavor.  This cupcake is made with real strawberries, and I like strawberries but I prefer them to be covered in chocolate whenever possible!  A strawberry cupake just didn’t seem to be calling out my name.

Wow, why did I wait so long to try this one?  This cupcake is incredibly fresh and taste like actual strawberries, not strawberry flavoring, but real strawberries that have been hand chosen by Amy and chopped up right in our kitchen at the store.  I was worried that the cupcake itself would overpower the strawberries, but that is not the case at all.  Delicious!  I was immediately sad I had only bought one to take home and was wondering how I could keep it hidden from my husband so I wouldn’t have to share.

Do you have a go-to flavor that you always find yourself heading back to each time you walk into our store?  Perhaps you are a red velvet fan and always order the Rouge cupcake, or maybe you like to keep it simple with the Vanilla Vanilla?  I’m still a big fan of the Peanut Butter Dream, but this week you will find me sneaking in a bite of the Very Berry whenever I can, and I will be buying two of them next time because it turns out my husband loves them just as much as I do.

Challenge yourself to try a new flavor this week and then let us know how it compares to your normal go-to cupcake.

Weekly Round Up – January 20, 2012

We had a great week at The Sweet Tooth, business is really picking up!  We had some returning customers and new customers as well.  We started selling coffee and even offered our Shortcake Cupcake.  We have been receiving great feedback about our cupcakes and customers are starting to pick their favorites.  If you have not had the chance to come in and check us out yet, we hope you come in soon.  We are located in the Palo Center in Blue Springs.  We are on the south end of 7 highway, just north of the McDonalds on Moreland School Road. 

FourSquare Discount
We have our FourSquare discount available again today Friday January 20^th.  Check in at The Sweet Tooth on your smart phone, and show us at check out.  You will get your cupcakes for $1.50, limit 24 per person! 

Free Cookie or Cup of Coffee

Friday January 20^th and Saturday January 21^st we are offering a free cookie or a free cup of coffee with purchase (Limit one per customer).  Just like our cupcakes, our cookies are made from scratch.  We have 3 flavors to choose from Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter and Oatmeal Raisin.  Get some milk to go along with your treats as well! 

KC Unveiled Bridal Show

The Sweet Tooth will have a booth at the KC Unveiled Bridal show on Sunday January 22.  The show is at the Cotillion in Blue Springs from 11AM until 3PM and admission is free.  If you know anyone that is planning a wedding, tell them to stop by.  There will be great vendors there, and we will have cupcakes to sample!  1717 Burdett Crossing – Blue Springs, MO 64015.

Free Coffee

We just got our coffee maker installed and we have some pretty good coffee.  Amy and I are not coffee drinkers, so we would not know the difference.  The coffee we selected has a strong flavor and compliments our cupcakes perfectly.  You still have a couple hours to take advantage of this offer and try our coffee for free!  Saturday, January 14 get a free cup of coffee with any purchase.  Come in for your free cup of coffee.

Grand Opening

We had our grand opening last week Saturday and had an amazing turnout!  We had a line outside when we opened our door and had a consistent flow of customers all day.  We almost had to close the shop at about 2PM after only being open for 4 hours.  We only had 12 cupcakes left on the shelf and Amy was working feverishly in the kitchen to keep up with demand.  I had to run out and pick up 300 pounds of flour and sugar, along with butter and cream cheese.  We were able to restock the shelves and kept selling cupcakes until we closed at 8PM.  We ended up selling over 1,500 cupcakes that day and we were all tired by the end of the day.  We want to thank everyone that came out to try our cupcakes, and we hope you keep coming back for more and more cupcakes.
