Weekly Round Up – September 11, 2011

Well, this blog is titled weekly round-up, but since it’s been almost a month since our last “weekly” post maybe we should change the name.  We have been pretty busy, but we are back!  September has been a pretty busy month for us and weddings, and we love each one we do!  We just completed a two wedding weekend, and have another two wedding weekend coming up!  Amy and Mya had their baby shower this weekend and we received a lot of essentials.  Amy and Kayla were very excited to show me all of the goodies.  We have a few projects going on at home as well.  We are finishing the basement so Anthony can move down there, Kayla will get Anthony’s old room and Kayla’s current room will be turned into a nursery.  Everything is coming along well, but we only have 6 more weeks to get it all done!

The Sweet Tooth’s Lemonade Stand

We are raising funds for a great cause this month, Alex’s Lemonade Stand.  For more details, read our recent blog post.  Great cupcakes, great price, great cause.

What a great wedding date!  We also did a great wedding on that date.  Everything was beautiful, just look at the picture.  This is just an example of how we can customize our cupcakes and stands for any event.  The couple provided the colorful baking cups and the ribbon, and The Sweet Tooth did the rest.  Well, we don’t do cakes, but we will happily save room on the top tier for a cake if you’d like.

I can’t believe it has been 10 years already, we remember everything like it was just yesterday.  That was the year Amy and I met, and I remember that’s all we talked about for the next week or so.  There are not many events that are known by just the date, but this one is.  As we reflect, we are thankful for the service men and women who put themselves in harm’s way to keep us safe.  We are fortunate to live in such a great country and to enjoy so much freedom.  We are moving forward, but we will never forget.
